Operation Shoebox – Saturday, Dec 2, 2017
Our Tiger Den volunteered to help at “Operation Shoebox” at the Hillsborough YMCA. Operation Shoebox prepares and ships care packages for our troops serving overseas. Our Tigers Den made cards for our soldiers and put together packages of toiletries, snacks and other comfort items.
October (Halloween) Pack Meeting – October 20, 2017
Pack 89 held its annual Halloween party in the Gym at HES. There was a Jack-O-Lantern carving contest, plenty of games, fun costumes, and a haunted house.
September Pack Meeting – Sept 22 2017
Friday night, Pack 89 held its first pack meeting of the 2017-18 year. The theme was Sports & Team-Building Games. The Scouts played lots of games, including Crab Races, Basketball, Wheelbarrow Races, Tug-of-War versus the parents, Dodgeball and others.
Webelos II Den Meeting – Sept 21 2017
The Webelos II den held their first den meeting of the year at Ann Van Middlesworth park. The meeting started with their den leader, Jon, discussing the requirement for the Arrow of Light awards Webelos can work towards. Then the boys did some fishing at the pond.
Bear Den Carnival – Sunday, June 4, 2017
One of the requirements for the Bear Rank is to hold a fundraiser. Our Bear Den chose to organize a carnival to raise money for Autism Speaks. The scouts organized many games including Corn Hole, Ring Toss, Nerf Gun Targets, Nature Trivia, Lawn Bowling, Bottle Flipping, Paper Airplane Toss, Ladder Ball, Jokes and Memory Game.
