June 1 2019 – End-of-Year Campfire
Pack 89 held it end-of-year campfire at Ann Van Middlesworth park again this year. There was fishing and games for the scouts to play. After dinner, the scouts put on their class A uniforms and marched to the campfire ceremony, where they “bridged up” to the next rank.
May 25 2019 – Memorial Day Parade
Pack 89 marched in the Hillsborough’s annual Memorial Day Parade.
May 18-19, 2019 Spring Camping
Pack 89 held it annual spring camping trip at Otto’s Farm Park in Hillsborough. The scouts did some hiking, played games, and made scores. We had beautiful weather for the trip.
March 23, 2019 – Blue and Gold Dinner
Pack 89 held it annual Blue and Gold Dinner. This is the event where our Webelos II scouts “bridge up” to being boy scouts. Our seven Webelos II Scouts went to BSA Troops 489 and 1776.
March 19, 2019 – Bear Den Meeting
Our Bear Den built bird feeders. This helped to fulfill the “Baloo The Builder” requirement, where the scouts learn about hand tools, and use them on a building project.
March 18, 2019 – Flagtown Firehouse Visit
Our Scouts Visited the Flagtown Firehouse and learned about being a firefighter.
March 4, 2019 – Packing Meals for SHIP
Our Wolf Den (and their siblings) packed over 100 healthy meals for Samaritan Homeless Interim Project (SHIP), which provided services to those in need. For more information on this organization, please see http://ship908.com
March 2, 2019 – Pinewood Derby
Pack 89 held its annual Pinewood Derby at the Municipal Building. The scouts had been working on their cars since the December pack meeting and did a great job of building creative and interesting cars. The scouts voted on the coolest-looking car in each den. February 16 to 17, 2019 – Battleship NJ Encampment
Our Scouts camped overnight on the Battleship NJ. As part of the encampment, scouts were given a tour of the ship, got to hear stories about it service in the Navy, and sleep in the same bunks as the sailors did.
February 6 2019 – My Tiger Jungle
Our tiger den (1st graders) built bird houses at their den meeting. Making a bird house is a step towards the tiger badge that partially fulfills the “My Tiger Jungle” adventure requirement.
