April 3, 2022 – Blue & Gold
Pack 89 held its annual Blue & Gold Luncheon to day goodbye to our Webelos 2 scouts. Of our ten Webelos 2 scouts, three have decided to pursue other interests while seven are moving on BSA Troop 1776.
March 6, 2022 – Pinewood Derby
Pack 89 held its annual pinewood derby at the HIllsborough municipal complex. The scouts got to show off the card they had spent the past few months building. We had some very creative cars and some exciting races.
January 25, 2022 – NJ State Trooper Sergeant Ranges
This month, Sergeant Michael Ranges of the NJ State Police spoke with our Pack. He told the scouts about what it takes to be an NJ State Trooper, his experience going though training, what a typical day is like, and let the scouts explore hit squad car.
January 18, 2022 – Meeting with Mayor Lipani
To fulfill the “Build a Better World” requirement, our Webelos 2 dens met with Mayor Lipani. They learned about the responsibility of being mayor and some opportunities to help improve Hillsborough.
December 15 2021 – Holiday Movie Night
Pack 89 held it annual Holiday Movie Night at HES. The scouts enjoyed watching “8 Bit Christmas” while the parents learned about Pinewood Derby.
November 17, 2021 – Tae Kwon Do
Mr. Cody Obrupta, a Fifth-Degree Black Belt and instructor at ATA Martial Arts in Hillsborough, visited the Pack last night to teach the Scouts a little about Tae Kwon Do.
October 27, 2021 – Halloween Party
Pack 89 held it annual Halloween Party pack meeting. We had game, a pumpkin carving contest, and for the first-time every a Halloween tug of war (because, why not?).
October 24, 2021 – Canal Path Hike
Our pack went for a hike from Colonial Park to the Canal Tow-Path, then back to the park. We also held a scavenger hunt looking for different types of wildlife
September 28, 2021 – The Lizard Guy
Pack 89 started a new scouting year with an old favorite…THE LIZARD GUY!!! He brought lot of interesting animals for the kids to touch and learn about. See highlights below.
September 19, 2020 – Fishing at Sourland Mountain Preserve
We had such a great time, we had to do it again. Pack 89 started off the year with a fishing trip at the Sourland Mountain Preserve, and the fish were biting more than last time. We had great weather for the event and a great turnout. Thank you to everyone who came.
