Our Cub Scouts had a blast at our spring campout at Colonial Park! We played an epic game of capture the flag, hiked through nature, and ended the day with campfire skits and s’mores. A perfect weekend of fun, great weather, and outdoor adventure!
Our Cub Scouts had an awesome winter sleepover at the Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown, PA! They explored the human body, discovered cool facts about nature, and even built squishy circuits. It was a night full of fun, learning, and hands-on science adventures. Huge thanks to the staff for making it unforgettable!
Thanks to everyone who came out for our annual Pinewood Derby! We had a great turnout, amazing cars, and an exciting day of racing. Congrats to all participants; we’re already looking forward to next year!
The scouts have been busy serving their community. On Saturday November 19 helped rake up leaves for a local resident and on Saturday December 10 they helped pack for Operation Shoebox.
On Monday October 17, Pack 89 held their annual Halloween party. Scouts participated in a pumpkin decorating contest, a mummy wrap competition, scavenger hunt, and finished the night off with a story around the campfire. A great time was had by all! Check out some of the awesome pumpkins:
Pack 89 held its annual Blue & Gold Luncheon to day goodbye to our Webelos 2 scouts. Of our ten Webelos 2 scouts, three have decided to pursue other interests while seven are moving on BSA Troop 1776.
Pack 89 held its annual pinewood derby at the HIllsborough municipal complex. The scouts got to show off the card they had spent the past few months building. We had some very creative cars and some exciting races.
This month, Sergeant Michael Ranges of the NJ State Police spoke with our Pack. He told the scouts about what it takes to be an NJ State Trooper, his experience going though training, what a typical day is like, and let the scouts explore hit squad car.
To fulfill the “Build a Better World” requirement, our Webelos 2 dens met with Mayor Lipani. They learned about the responsibility of being mayor and some opportunities to help improve Hillsborough.
