Bear Scouts are ready to take on bigger challenges and start trying more hands-on skills. To earn the Bear badge, Scouts complete 6 required adventures and 2 electives. Bears learn practical life skills, such as cooking, woodworking, and personal safety, while continuing to grow their leadership and citizenship values.

Bear Scouts explore:

  • Building and fixing things

  • Cooking and kitchen safety

  • Using tools with care

  • Fire and knife safety

  • Helping their community

Example adventures include:

  • Bear Claws (knife safety)

  • Baloo the Builder (woodworking)

  • Bear Necessities (camping preparation)
