Our wolf den held a holiday part in lieu of its regular den meeting. The party was held at Roman Gourmet, and great pizza was enjoyed by all.

Our wolf den held a holiday part in lieu of its regular den meeting. The party was held at Roman Gourmet, and great pizza was enjoyed by all.

Pack 89 held a 3 mile hike at Duke Farms Living Habitat. The scouts learned about the outdoor code (a requirement for rank advancement), learned about the history of the Duke Estate, saw lots of wildlife, and learned about conservationism.
Pack 89 held its annual Halloween Pack meeting at HES. There were games to play, treats, and a haunted house. In addition, the scouts brought carved pumpkins for the Jack-O-Lantern contest. Everyone had a great time!!!!!!!!!
The Lizard Guys
“The Lizard Guys” did an interactive presentation for the scouts. The scouts got to see and learn about several different types of lizards, including the huge snake shown in the attached picture

The scouting year came to a close with Pack 89’s annual end-of-year campfire, held at Ann Van Middlesworth park. The scouts fished, played games, and enjoyed BBQ. After eating dinner, the “Bridging Up” ceremony was held where the scouts were officially awarded the badges they had worked towards all year, and bridged up to the next level.
Pack 89 took part in Hillsborough Memorial Day Parade. The scouts from all of our dens marched to the Municipal Complex with other community organizations.
Our Tiger Den took a trip to the Liberty Science Center. During the trip, the scouts took part in the “Sky is the Limit” program, where they learned about telescopes and astronomy. Afterwards, the boys got to explore the science center and watch a show in the largest planetarium in North America.
Pack 89 held its annual spring camping trip at Teetertown preserve in Hunterdon County NJ. During the afternoon, the boys did a pond study where they learned about the difference small creature that live in a pond. After it got dark, they played “Manhunter” and mades mores by the campfire.
Pack 89 held it April pack meeting on April 20. The theme was First Aid. The boys learned about first aid and assembled their own first aid kits.
Volunteering to help at the meeting were several boy scouts from Boy Scout Troops 489 and 1776 (and all Pack 89 alumni).
Pack 89 held is annual Blue & Gold Dinner. This is the event where our Webelos II den formally become Boy Scouts. We had 10 Scouts move on to Troops 89, 489 and 1776.
