Pack 89 held an early September hike at Colonial Part in Somerset. We have beautiful weather for the hike. The hike started in the park, went through the rose garden, out on to the tow path, then back the way we came. The after, the scouts insisted on spending time at the very cool playground (of course).

With the end of the scout year, Keith and Kathy Mindish will be leaving Pack 89. Between their two sons, they have been involved with Pack 89 for over 10 years. Keith has held many roles on our Leadership Committee and has served as Cub Master the past two years. Kathy has served as our liaison with Patriots Path Council and has also held many roles on our Leadership Committee.

Though they are leaving Pack 89, they will still be involved with scouting as their sons are scouts with BSA Troop 489. Our loss is truly Troop 489’s gain.

Pack 89 held it end-of-year campfire at Ann Van Middlesworth park again this year. There was fishing and games for the scouts to play. After dinner, the scouts put on their class A uniforms and marched to the campfire ceremony, where they “bridged up” to the next rank.

Pack 89 marched in the Hillsborough’s annual Memorial Day Parade.

Pack 89 held it annual spring camping trip at Otto’s Farm Park in Hillsborough. The scouts did some hiking, played games, and made scores. We had beautiful weather for the trip.
